Kitty Hillman is the principal of KH Hillman Interiors, a design firm based in Pittsburgh that specializes in both residential and commercial work. Ms. Hillman has been an interior designer for more than 15 years, beginning her career after completing the interior design program at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She also has a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado, which led to a successful career in advertising with companies that include Wells, Rich, Greene in New York and HBM Creamer Advertising in Pittsburgh.

When her children were young, Ms. Hillman decided to work part-time as a buyer and sales associate for River House Antiques, one of Pittsburgh's premier antiques businesses. It reawakened her passion for architecture and design, which had been key element in her upbringing and college studies. Her work reflects not only her education, but her wide range of interests in the arts and especially her extensive travels across five continents. Such exposure to disparate cultures has helped to form the imaginative viewpoint that serves as the foundation for all of Ms. Hillman's design projects.
